This word is perfect for today since I have been thinking a lot lately about new beginnings for our family. D is about to start his third and final year of law school. With that comes job applications, interviews, and the anticipation and nervousness of not knowing where we will be next year. Will he make it into the JAG Corps like he really wants? Or will he be doing something else? Will we be stateside? Or overseas? Active duty or still in the Guard?
Despite my nervousness for the future, I'm ready for this new beginning. After spending the last ten years almost as a student or married to a student, I am ready to close that chapter of our lives and move on to the next. I'm excited. I'm scared. I know, like with every new beginning, there will be challenges. But I know that there will also be happy times. I'm excited to start this new chapter with my husband and our daughter and see where life takes us.

It's the beginning of the end:) Hope the year goes well and you get all the info you need quickly...though with the military, who knows what will happen?!?

The uncertainty can drive you batty, but the excitement of beginning something new often makes it worthwhile! Good luck with your upcoming beginnings!!
