MilSpouse Friday Fill-In

I’m a little late getting this up because I was at work all day.  It’s better late than never right?  First: some housekeeping… My Scentsy giveaway is still going on over at Our Military Home.  It runs through Monday, March 5th.  Also, Taylor is hosting a Basket Party on my website so feel free to stop by and support her and discover some great Scentsy products for spring.

Now, without further ado, here is this month’s MilSpouse Friday Fill-in!

1. What is your favorite/most unique anniversary/birthday gift from your spouse? suggested by Bel at Being a Better Me

When D and I had only been dating a few months, D gave me a very special birthday present that is still my favorite gift he’s given me.  Exactly a year before my birthday, I came home from working in orphanages in Ecuador.  I loved the kids I worked with and, even a whole year later, missed them like crazy.  I especially loved this little boy and had dreams of going back one day and adopting him.  D gave me a very special painting of Christ holding a little the hand of a little boy.  When D gave the painting to me on my birthday, the explanation he gave me made me cry.  He said that he hoped when I looked at the painting I would think of my Ecuadorian “son” and remember how much I love him.

2. What’s your first thought when you see it’s snowing (or what would you say if you don’t live somewhere with snow? suggested by Poekitten from Many Waters

I hate snow.  So my usual first reaction to snow is to crawl into bed and stay there.

3. What’s one thing in the past month you would have changed?  suggested by Erika from Chambanachik

Probably my attitude.  I’ve had a hard time having a positive attitude about everything in my life lately and some circumstances in the last month haven’t made my attitude any better.  Not that that is any excuse but I’m working on it.

4.What was your favorite thing that happened in February?

On February 1st, D and I went on a special date to Disney On Ice: Dare to Dream.  It was awesome!  I felt like a little girl, I was THAT excited.

5. What are you looking forward to in March?

D’s younger sister is getting married at the end of March so I get to take a few days off of work and we’re flying out west for the wedding.

Have a great weekend!

I love Disney on Ice! Two of DD's coaches (she skated competitively when she was younger) were both former Disney on Ice skaters, and one of the girls that DD skated with went on to join DoI later. I loved watching them all skate!
