5 Question Friday

1. Is there a special dish you prepare that you are famous for?
Not really.  Last year, I made a banana cream pie.  This year I made a salad.  So basically whatever someone tells me to bring, that’s what I make.

2. Are you (did you) go Black Friday shopping ?
Heck no!!  I’ve never been a morning person… and I’ve never been a shopping person.  So Black Friday has never been appealing to me.  And I’ve worked retail during the holiday season and had to work on Black Friday last year (in the afternoon so it wasn’t as bad but it was still pretty crazy).  Plus, I wanted to sleep in for my birthday.

 3. What are your strangest holiday traditions?
I don’t think we have any weird holiday traditions.  I know, we’re boring.

4. Pecan or pumpkin pie? (She actually asked "Apple or pumpkin?" I just T-giving'ed it!)
It’s not Thanksgiving without eating pumpkin pie.  Fortunately for my family, we do not lack in the pie area.  We had pumpkin, banana cream (another must for my family on Thanksgiving), apple, and a pie called Faser (sp?) pie.  It’s a chocolatey pie from Estonia.

 5. When will you put up your Christmas tree?
Probably today or tomorrow.  We have a fake tree for the next few years.  And all this time I thought Hubby preferred the fake tree but he informed me yesterday that once he graduates from law school, he would love it if we had a real tree.  I told him that we would.  That’s the only way to do Christmas when you grow up in Washington.  I’m excited for Christmas 2014.
